“When I started they told me you don’t know sh#t about fashion, I told them fashion don’t know sh#t about me”
― Frantzyface
In July, I attended a pop-shop at Askan a clothing boutique in Lower Manhattan. Designer, Frantz Farnolle dream started sometime in 2011, while working at a Starbucks, in the fashion district. Frantz never had an interest in fashion. Ironically enough, some of his classmates actually made fun of the clothing he would wear to school. During that time, Frantz thought about become a designer and his creativity begin. In 2012, Frantz launched “Frantzyface” and created his first design. Although, Frantz never attended fashion school, he managed to capture the needs of his audience which includes a wide range of loyal repeat customers both locally and internationally.

He created a number of collections thus far and believes showing your true FACE is not conforming to the norm, each consumer is a legend in their own right. Many celebrities have been spotted wearing the “FrantzyFace” brand such as Method Man, Comedian: Chante Wayans, Stylist to Beyoncé: Ty Hunter, and HOT 97 NYC Radio Personality co-host, Laura Stylez.
The unisex line is spreading a positive message, one that Frantz lives by “Face Ur Self”. The words are to encourage self-esteem and continuous self-improvement. Another thing that makes the slogan cool is that it’s printed backwards on his clothing so you can read it in the mirror.
The collection continues to expand and now includes t-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, sweatpants, sportswear, button down shirts, children’s wear, outerwear, accessories, headwear and even footwear. He designs custom pieces for all sizes. If you want to shop and support Frantzy Face visit: http://www.frantzyface.bigcartel.com/ or stop by SABIT NYC “The Shopp” on 43 Clinton St in New York.

I love the range of hats, even if he considered himself more of an artist than a designer I still think that behind every great designer is a great artist.

is that the paper crane napkin holder from target? I love that thing. I spied that, but codu;n’lt justify buying it. I love the chair make over. You are so darn awesome. We do alot of DIY and refurbishing around here too, I just need to get better about blogging about it. I am new to the blogging thing, and I’m having a hard time remembering to document everything, and it’s just not the same without pictures. I’ve been reading your blog for years, and I find it all so inspiring.
