Have you ever been on a date; yet the other person didn’t know it was a date?
I’ve recently come to the realization a sub-culture within a culture called ride sharing, i.e.: Uber and Lyft. The traditional days of online dating, getting set up by friends or random club hook up, is now out the window. This note is to all of my single lady friends out there.
Dating has now become simple AND seamless. You simply power on your cell phone, open up your Lyft or Uber app, type in your pick up location and destination location and voila, a man comes calling. If a woman’s photo pops up, simply cancel and keep tapping.
Here’s the cool part; there photo appears. So, you can press cancel until you get your desired look of a man and car type. Think of swiping left or right. Similar to Tinder; however, there’s not nearly as much competition. We are the new leaders and trendsetters in changing the dating paradigm, by thinking outside of the box.
My Uber driver picked me up, on time might I add. He placed my luggage in the trunk. I thought he was going to open my passenger side door, but that would’ve been a bit much on a first date… I mean first ride.
We headed North on Lincoln Blvd towards LAX airport, when he made a quick pit stop in Marina Del Rey, to pick up a very handsome Polish man named Yuhrick. A girl’s dream come true, to be courted by two men at the same time. It was a 3-way, in all the right and most meaningful ways. They were both vying for my attention.
Although, we are going Dutch on this first date; essentially, we, women are paying them for this first date. However, after that – sky’s are the limit.
Who knows where this thing could grow into. Although, often times, these men aren’t HOT, handsome or even attractive in the slightest bit, they possess something much more necessary to a woman’s needs.
They possess: (See Below)
. A car
. A reliable cell phone that keeps correct time, has enough data storage to download apps
. & A JOB
