“Fashion Series”: A Tuttobuon Experience (The Future of Shopping)

Picture this: A personal shopper experience featuring luxury designers exclusively for you from prestigious global locations. Sounds too good to be true? Well, let me introduce you to Tuttobuon (pronounced Toot a bahn).

Subscription based clothing services have seen an increase over the last five to ten years. The premise of most of them is to provide members private access to a limited selection of apparel, shoes and purses shipped directly to your door. Easy to return shipping labels are provided, making it suitable for busy men and women to shop without actually spending hours in a mall or traveling from store to store.

But, Tuttobuon has taken that experience and upgraded the concept.

CONCEPT Creative director David Aurelio Tiro begin nurturing the idea two years ago. His extensive travels have allowed him to come in contact with quality products and unique experiences that he longed to make accessible here in the States. Hence was born Tuttobuon.  The name is fitting as it is French for “All Good”. And let me tell you, the quality of this atelier is nothing short of superb! The current collection includes esteemed brands such as Gucci, Prada, Fendi, and Dolce & Gabbana.

Designed as a luxury speakeasy style event, Tuttobuon will be more of a traveling shopping affair, held at a different venue on a monthly or bi-monthly basis. The elite members will be privy to the location.

A speakeasy was, in the 1920s, a jazz bar filled with men and women mingling, dancing and drinking. Tuttobuon has taken a more modern approach to the speakeasy.  The private membership allows you (the customer), exclusive access to VIP shopping, drinks, food and an opportunity to network with like-minded people.

Perfectly setting the tone for this event, the Grand Opening was held at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel, a lavish world-class hideaway nestled between two PGA 18-hole golf courses and luxury estates.

As David Tiro spoke to the crowd of less than 50, he related the affinity he held for The Biltmore. You see, David is a family-oriented gentleman and ten years ago his sister was married in one of the beautiful ballrooms there.

“Family-oriented” would aptly describe Tuttobuon as well. His lovely mother was also in attendance as his support system.  And, as David spoke of his upbringing and the importance of family, it was quickly realized that this is what motivated the membership based social.


Establishing a personal relationship with each member is David’s goal. Catering to your individual needs and wants including personal style and sizes is what he offers in this elite group. So, what’s the pricing like? The cost of the membership is not yet known. However, you can expect to spend top quality for top dollar for the apparel. No, this is not a knockoff beauty supply store version of luxury brands.

It is luxury brands. And, the clothes, shoes, and purses are on trend (current or prior season) and in like new condition.

As I browsed the current selection ranging from dresses, skirts, shoes, and purses. I appreciated the quality selection – Gucci shift dresses, Moschino tops, & Fendi handbags.

As you consider whether or not this personal concierge service is for you, take note of some noteworthy facts:  The exposure of retail shopping is changing. With the increase of online shopping, including subscription based clothing services, brick and mortar stores are suffering. Macy’s announced on August 11 that they would be closing 100 stores nationwide.

For years, Macy’s has been the more accessible option for discounted authentic luxury goods, although still only at select stores.

According to CNNMoney, stores like H&M and Zara are seeing an increase.

Yet, luxury goods in the U.S. aren’t going anywhere. “The United States has long been the largest regional market for luxury goods and is estimated to continue to be the leading personal luxury goods market in 2014, with a value of 64.9 billion euros” (cited by Statista.com).

While there are no definitive signs that the availability of discounted luxury goods are dwindling Tuttobuon might be a great opportunity to jump on as an innovative solution.

Boutique owners and fashion bloggers especially could greatly benefit from having their hand in the pot, sort of speaking.
